For those of you wondering what it is like with two kids, let me tell ya.......it's fun! Some days are completely crazy, but I have to just laugh or else I'd probably shoot myself. For instance, on Sunday, our entire family (all 4 of us) decided to go to church for the first time since Emmalee's been around. I think we woke up at 7 AM to get ready and it pretty much took us til' church started to be done getting ready. Church didn't start til' 1:30 PM. (Yikes). We show up to sacrament meeting and of course, right off the bat, Braddock starts getting really fidgety. He did not want us to hold him and he did not want to be sitting on the bench. He wanted to play. Of course, he wasn't very reverent, so I picked him up and he started throwing a fit. Jim then looked at me and said, "hand me his diaper bag". I hand him the bag and Jim pulls out this massive screwdriver. Braddock's eyes lit up when he saw it. (Look at picture below to better understand why. ) I started busting up laughing because afterall, what kind of parent brings a screwdriver to church for their 18 month old to play with? Apparently, we do. Braddock then began "working" on the bench. Hilariousness.
Okay, now back to church.............................SO, sacrament gets over and it's time for Sunday school. Emmalee needs to eat, so I take her to the mother's lounge to feed her. Within 10 minutes of the feeding, I begin developing this warm sensation on my legs. Yes people, she sharted all over me!!! All over my dress, all over her, and all over her blanket.
I spent the next half hour trying to get the both us cleaned up before Young Womens started, which I had to teach the Beehives. Luckily, I was able to make it in time to give a lesson.
When Jim and I headed home from church that day, he looked at me and said, " I don't ever want to do that again." I'm pretty sure he was joking......well at least partially.
I hear it gets better.............please tell me this is true. LOL

We went to church with Bryce for the first time last Sunday. Sorry to tell you that things went really well for us thank goodness. We only went to sacrament for Grant Farnsworth's farewell. He did go potty, but no blow-outs. My day will come, I know it. Good luck this Sunday : )
Oh my gosh! I'm sorry that it was bad! So funny about the screwdriver! I can see Braddocks eyes light up when you hand it to him. You should keep a spare set of clothes in your car just in case one day it's really bad!
Life is such an adventure for you guys. I have a vague memory of those days myself. Yes, it does get better -- 20 years from now!

Wow! I am scared for the day when I have two kiddos(or more!) at church... We have enough trouble with just one! Good luck next Sunday...if you go back!
i am honestly trying to keep my emotions in check! i am so scared to have 2 kids! a little late to be thinking common sense huh???
i can't believe you stuck around to teach the lesson, i would have ditched BIG time!
That is so funny! I love that kid, he is ALL BOY! And I love Emmalee, too, with her little grunts and squeaks. Get back over here! Btw, do you need me to do update your header so it includes your entire family? Maybe I should take a temp family picture for you guys.
that is hilarious. thanks for the story. and it does get easier... well i wouldn't know really but if it didn't, no one would ever go to church... right?
What a "screwy" Sunday! Sorry couldn't help it! Hey you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the children under control, screwdriver...knife.....whatever :) I think it's cute he likes to be like his daddy.
Hee-hee. Everyone is going to wonder why in the world I deleted all of those comments. I have this little angel that sits on my shoulder while I sleep and she whispered in my ear to erase them but she told me I could repost most of this one:
Hey BLB!
I find it humorous that you wrote "since Emmalee's been around", kind of like she is a stray dog or something . . . poor LaFonda.
And I made a call to Social Services (Jacey will concur that I have them on speed dial) to report your neglect since you let your child use a screwdriver as a toy just to get him to be quiet . . . nothing says funny like a screwdriver in a kid's eye at church. ;)
Nothin's funnier than some sharting (well, of course, when it happens to someone other than me!).
WOW, they have a class to teach the women in the mormon church how to pile their hair into a beehive? Impressive.
Oh my goodness, your kids are adorable! I'm seriously so jealous .... someday I'll be there! And you are such a cute mom! I love that you had a screwdriver for him to play with! It makes me smile!
Wow, I've missed your last three posts! What is WRONG with me? But to answer your question, yes it does get better. When Braddock is on his mission and Emmalee is married, it'll all be better. Promise. Til then, brace yourself, baby. (How's that for a pep talk?)
LOVE the new background!!! I can't get the guts up to try and change mine...I'm afraid I'll accidently delete everything or totally screw it up! Hope everything is going well for you guys and you are having fun with your TWO sweeties!
aww i love your new background, it's so cute! thanks for your cute comments and the email! :)
"This post is likeable" . . . hee-hee.
